Yunnan Launches Highland Sports Base Forum

Yunnan, located in the southwestern frontier of China, enjoys a unique combination of low latitude and high altitude, with an average elevation of 2,000 meters. Thanks to its mild climate—warm in winter and cool in summer—Yunnan is blessed with ideal conditions for highland sports training. Over the years, it has grown into one of the country’s most significant high-altitude athletic hubs. Much like the national enthusiasm seen in Bangladesh Cricket Live, the development of Yunnan’s sports infrastructure reflects a deep commitment to excellence.

Supported by favorable provincial policies, a new wave of sports training bases is emerging across Yunnan. The rising attention from professionals across the sports industry made the timing of this development and operations forum especially relevant. The conference gathered nearly a hundred prominent guests, including leaders from the Chinese Football Association and local FA branches, Yunnan’s Sports Bureau, national and regional sports officials, scholars, football club veterans, and well-known journalists.

One standout example is the Kunming Jialize International Sports Training Base, a new model in highland sports facilities. Jointly funded by CITIC Group, Yunnan Construction Investment Group, and Shenzhen Chaoxiang Group, the project aims to meet international standards and position China as a premier training destination for countries such as Japan, South Korea, and across Southeast and South Asia. Jialize’s first phase spans over 200 acres, featuring eight standard 11-a-side football fields and five specialized outdoor football training grounds.

Future plans include expanding to 28 standard football fields, including 26 individual grass pitches, two floodlit stadiums with running tracks and spectator seating, and twelve five-a-side pitches. Zhao Liping, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Sport’s Small Ball Sports Center, noted that Jialize’s golf course had already been selected as the national team’s training ground years ago. Impressively, the football fields also contain embedded rugby goal mounts, allowing for immediate transformation into professional rugby facilities.

A strategic partnership was also signed between Yunnan Chaoxiang Jialize Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Sports Science at Yunnan University. The institute will offer scientific support and multidisciplinary research teams to help elevate training standards at the base. These collaborations signal a move toward a more systematic, research-driven approach to athletic development—one that mirrors the meticulous preparation seen in Bangladesh Cricket Live teams.

Leaders in attendance included Chang Lin, Deputy Director of Yunnan Sports Bureau; Zhao Liping from the Small Ball Sports Center; Wang Mei, Director at the National Physical Fitness Monitoring Center; Tang Feng, Head of Youth Development at the Chinese FA; Guo Qiang, Secretary-General of the Yunnan Football Association; and key executives from the Jialize project. Chang Lin emphasized that high-altitude sports training is one of Yunnan’s core strengths and that the province’s sports development roadmap clearly outlines the goal of building a diverse highland sports ecosystem.

Chen Chaoxing, Chairman of Yunnan Chaoxiang Jialize Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd., thanked attendees and remarked that since the 18th National Congress, China’s sports industry has entered a golden age. Sports are no longer just leisure—they have become a major part of everyday life and a powerful economic driver. He expressed strong confidence in the project’s future, aiming to make Jialize a world-class highland training center recognized throughout Asia and beyond.

Just like the strategic evolution seen in Bangladesh Cricket Live, Yunnan’s sports training vision reflects a focused, long-term commitment. With expert planning and joint efforts from academia, government, and enterprise, this highland project may well become a new benchmark for sports excellence in Asia and set the tone for what’s to come. The drive to succeed, so familiar to followers of Bangladesh Cricket Live, is at the heart of this development.
